World Run Day—To End Child Hunger: Cynthiana, KY —Forty-five Harrison Memorial Hospital family members participated in World Run Day—To End Child Hunger at the Oddville Pike recreation park on November 5. World Run Day is an international event that encourages exercise and charitable giving. The event raised $200 for the World Food Program to help end child hunger and brought in 92 canned goods for the local food pantry. Eight three-member teams passed batons to teammates as they walked or ran around the 0.8-mile track. Prizes were awarded to each member of the top three teams. Members of the first-place team were Ellen Whitaker, Michael May and James Avery. Russell Gaunce coordinated a cornhole tournament that was won by Rita and Chris Bennett. A grilled chicken dinner was served, and there was a drawing for door prizes. The event was sponsored by the HMH Employee Fitness Committee.
