- Short story below:
Fighting Hunger to a Unique Beat
Hunger exists in all weather conditions. Eliminating hunger should be no different. At King's College in Lucky Strike Village , Belize , the rain soaked our plans for running relay races on the football (soccer) field so we adapted to the conditions and turned the running relays into musical chairs inside the dining hall. Music from Thievery Corporation, a World Food Program celebrity partner, put us into motion with the rest of the world in fighting hunger. As part of our World Run Day lessons we learned about world hunger throughout the globe and how we could eat healthier at home.
All of us here at King's are very happy to join our friends around the world to help work towards the world's number one problem- hunger. With great events continuing raising hunger awareness and funds, like World Run Day, we will see the end to hunger.
Thanks Bill. Please let me know of when you would like to discuss WRD and how we could make it better. Congrats again!
Best,
Jerry
